Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a donut baking pan with pan release or Baker’s Joy. Set aside.
Mix the flax meal in a large bowl with 2 Tbsp. of water. Let sit to thicken for a couple minutes.
In another bowl combine your flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
After your flax meal has thickened, add your almond milk, oil, syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk together until fully mixed together.
Add your dry ingredients into your wet. Mix until combined.
Add in your chocolate chips and fold in.
Drop your mixture evenly into your donut baking pan. Fill each with 2-3 tbsp. of mixture.
Bake for 10-12 minutes. Toothpick should come out clean.
While your donuts cool, begin preparing the glaze topping by melting your chocolate chips in the microwave at 50% power for 30 seconds at a time until melted.
Add your cocnut oil to the melted chocolate and mix until smooth.
Dip the top of each donut into the glaze (allow the glaze to cover just the top half). Place each one onto parchment paper or a cooling rack.
Add sprinkles or any other toppings of your choice.
Place in fridge for 30 minutes to let glaze set.
